After a successful first edition in 2023, the Naarden International Piano Festival will once again focus on masterclasses for young, promising students in 2025.

Dutch pianist Mattias Spee is a ‘musical treasure hunter’. He digs up hidden gems from the piano repertoire and breathes new life into them. He plays music that you won’t hear anywhere else, but that is certainly worth hearing.

After her performance in the Discovery Concerts of the Naarden International Piano Festival 2024, the young pianist Alexandra Kaptein will once again be a guest at BIJ ANDREAS on February 7.

Magdalene Ho (2003) was born in Malaysia. She started playing the piano at the age of 4, moved to England at the age of 9 for her lessons and is currently studying with Dmitry Alexeev at the Royal College of Music.

Just like last season, we are giving young pianists studying at Codarts Rotterdam ample opportunity. Although the names and repertoire will only be announced shortly beforehand, you can count on a special afternoon.

Aarón Ormaza Vera obtained his bachelor’s degree in 2016 in his native Ecuador and continued his studies with renowned pedagogue Jan Wijn and then with Frank van de Laar at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. He was a Young Master at the most recent Naarden International Piano Festival and will play a varied program in the Pianotalent op Zondag series on November 24.

Damiën Heemskerk was a guest at the Naarden International Piano Festival earlier this year as a Young Master and played the stars from the sky there. In the series Pianotalent op Zondag he will show on October 20 that he is not only an excellent pianist but also a composer: he will play the three ‘Love Impressions’ of his own hand.

In the first concert of the 2024-2025 season, we will see one of the Young Masters of the recent Naarden International Piano Festival. Emanuil Ivanov made a great impression in the Discovery Concerts with his colorful rendition of Ravel’s Gaspard de la Nuit.

A duo of two exceptional musicians: cellist Ella van Poucke and pianist Caspar Vos, both of whom really need no introduction.
