On January 21, conservatory students will be our guests again. This time young, talented musicians from the piano class of the Conservatory of Amsterdam who would like to gain experience at BIJ ANDREAS. You can enjoy Aarón Ormaza, Luís Bagina, Aidan Mikdad and Juan Lara playing music by Mendelssohn, Liszt and Rachmaninov, among others.

Canto Ostinato by Simeon ten Holt is known for its meditative and relaxed atmosphere, but also for its exciting performances that are never the same. It is a piece of music consisting of more than 200 different sections with different variations, intended for one or more pianos. Each section and variation can be played and repeated at will. The musicians decide during the concert how and when they vary.

Lucie Horsch is an extraordinary multi-talent. She broke through on the recorder, turned out to be a gifted pianist and can be heard today as a singer.

Camiel Boomsma is praised by press and public for his remarkable maturity, his extraordinarily beautiful sound and unique touch. In this concert, Boomsma will play music by his beloved Richard Wagner and will also read from his letter to the composer.

In 2022, for the first time, five Dutch pianists under the age of 23 were allowed to participate in a separate competition at the Liszt Utrecht International Piano Festival. Radu Ratering won this first edition of the NLiszt competition.

A real double bill at the opening of this series. Dirk Luijmes is a specialist in playing a relatively unknown keyboard instrument: the harmonium. He brings his instrument with him and introduces you to the special sound in music by Liszt and Wagner, among others.

In April 2023, the first edition of the Naarden International Piano Festival Masterclass took place. Eight international students received masterclasses from artistic director Nino Gvetadze, Mariam Batsashvili and Paul Komen.
