Dear music lover,
The rapidly increasing number of Corona infections and the measures announced by the government during the press conference of Tuesday 13 October have made us decide, with pain in our hearts, to cancel the concerts by Shane van Nerden and Nicolas van Poucke on 25 October and 15 November respectively. , to be moved to 2021.
Although we could receive part of you within the limits of the new rules, we believe that due to all the necessary measures we cannot offer you the pleasant afternoon that we have in mind.
You understand that this is a very painful decision for us. We are looking for new dates for both concerts, because we grant Shane, Nicolas a full and safe hall and above all we grant you a concert that you can enjoy carefree.

Shane van Nerden (1999) is a young American pianist with Dutch roots: his grandmother was even one of Anne Frank’s classmates! Despite this, no Dutch was spoken in the Van Nerden house. Shane longed to visit the country of his grandparents and so he moved to Amsterdam in 2018 to study at the Conservatory with Frank Peters.
Shane is not only a pianist with a story, but also a pianist of exceptional class. His talent was quickly noticed in the Netherlands and he was invited to solo with the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Amsterdam under the direction of Ed Spanjaard. He was also a guest at Podium Witteman, where he was already able to answer Paul Witteman’s questions fluently in Dutch. We are very happy to welcome Shane to BY ANDREAS. On the menu are beautiful preludes by Claude Debussy and the monumental Sonata romantica by Nikolai Medtner, according to his good friend Rachmaninov ‘the greatest composer of his time’!
