In 2022, five Dutch pianists under the age of 23 were allowed to participate in a separate competition at the Liszt Utrecht International Piano Festival for the first time. Radu Ratering won this first edition of the NLiszt competition. Naturally, he takes work by Liszt with him to BIJ ANDREAS: the third version of the song Die Zelle in Nonnenwerth for piano solo. Ratering also plays the Second suite, opus 10 by Enescu and Beethoven’s famous piano sonata no. 21 ‘Waldstein’.
