The first edition of the Naarden International Piano Festival Masterclass took place in April 2023. Eight international students received masterclasses from artistic director Nino Gvetadze, Mariam Batsashvili and Paul Komen.
From that group of eight participants, we have re-invited two pianists who made an impression for the first concert in the ‘Discoveries on Sunday’ series. Florin Mantale graduated with Naum Grubert at the Amsterdam Conservatory in 2021 and received the Willem Mengelberg Scholarship from the Concertgebouw Orchestra Foundation. He plays music by Debussy and Rachmaninov. Pablo Suaste plays a wonderful dance by Arturo Marquez from his native Mexico. He also invited the young violist Anuschka Pedano to play tangos by Astor Piazzolla together. You are cordially invited!
