During the series ‘discoveries on Sunday’ at BIJ ANDREAS we give a stage to up-and-coming talent. There are regular concerts on Sunday afternoons at 4 pm.
Described by Fanfare Magazine in 2018 as a true keyboard poet, Pablo Suaste’s elegant and virtuoso artistry has led to him being recognized as an emerging artist in the music world. In January 2017, Pablo won the Aeolian Classics Emerging Artist Award at the Chicago College of Performing Arts; as a result, he recorded a debut solo album dedicated to works by Franz Liszt, released in 2017 on Aeolian Classics. Winner of the Aeolian Classics Emerging Artist Award, he also performed in a seven-tour recital in Chicago.
In August 2018, Pablo won second prize at the Esperanza Cruz International Piano Competition. He was awarded third prize at the UDG National Competition in Mexico, where he also received the prize for the best interpretation of the compulsory piece. In addition, he recently received the bronze medal at the Angelica Morales International Piano Competition in Mexico.
