Dutch pianist Mattias Spee is a ‘musical treasure hunter’. He digs up hidden gems from the piano repertoire and breathes new life into them. He plays music that you won’t hear anywhere else, but that is certainly worth listening to. This has resulted in a series of albums under the title Eclipse – music that no one knows, but everyone should know. Let this concert take you on an adventure full of musical surprises with music by Mélanie Bonis (1858-1937), the young deceased Alexei Stanchinsky (1888-1914) and the Dutch pianist and composer Hans Henkemans (1913-1995).
