Concert pianist and teacher Alexandra Kaptein has a deep affinity for the German Romantic repertoire — in particular the works of Franz Liszt and Robert Schumann. She is renowned for her analytical and expressive interpretations. Following her debut album Liszt Transcriptions (2024), she recorded her second album in 2026, dedicated to the music of Liszt, which is due to be released in October this year. Her third album, featuring music by Schumann, is due to be released in early 2027.
In February 2025, Alexandra performed works by Hayden, Liszt, Ryabov and Brahms at BIJ ANDREAS. She will return in November with the following programme:
