ANBI

The Robert F.W. Bruinsma Foundation has been granted “cultural ANBI” status by the Dutch tax authorities since September 17, 2015. An institution or foundation can only be considered an ANBI (a public benefit organization) if it is at least 90 percent dedicated to public benefit. ANBIs can take advantage of certain tax benefits for inheritances, gifts, and donations.

Donors to cultural ANBIs have a tax advantage because they are eligible for an additional gift deduction. Individuals can deduct the amount of their donation from their income tax return. The first €5,000 can even be deducted 1.25 times. Businesses also receive a tax benefit. (Source: Tax Authorities)
