Alexander recently won first prize at the 2026 Liszt Competition in Utrecht. The jury commented:
“Alexander Kashpurin has a completely unique perspective on everything he touches. He is someone you want to listen to time and time again. He plays the music as if he had written it himself and blows you away when he plays. Spiritual and fragile, with sensitive senses with which he creates true magic. It was moving to see someone so deeply in love with the music.”
On 23 October 2026, Alexander will return to BIJ ANDREAS to perform Liszt’s Transcendental Études.
